Travel Assistance Addon

Limit of 12,000 euros per person and per claim when traveling abroad. Covers accidents and illnesses, when they occur during the trip outside Spain. If you are admitted to hospital, additional expenses for accommodation will be reimbursed to the person accompanying you, provided that he/she is also insured under your policy. If you have no immediate family member and must stay in the hospital for more than five days. In these cases, the family member will receive economy class air travel or first class train travel from Spain to the country where you are hospitalized and back. The limit for these expenses is 60 euros per day, up to 10 days. If the drugs and medications prescribed by your doctor are not available where you are located, they will be provided to you from an alternative source and this will be arranged as part of your coverage. The following services are included:

• Expenses arising from treatment provided to you abroad due to accidents and illnesses taking place abroad.
• Medications and drugs received on the basis of a prescription issued by a physician.
• Hospitalization expenses
• Ambulance expenses for transfers ordered locally by your physician.
• Emergency dental care expenses (see exclusions).
• Expenses arising from your visit to the doctor.

If you suffer an accident or illness abroad and medically supervised transportation is required, the following transportation will be arranged, taking into account which is the most appropriate depending on your medical condition:

• Air ambulance (airplane or helicopter).
• Scheduled flight.
• First-class sleeper train.
• ambulance – or sledge if you have been injured on a ski slope.
