BUPA TO SANITAS

Have you had a policy (at least one year) under any part of the BUPA group? If your answer is yes, then you are in luck!
You can transfer your policy to Sanitas, for having been a member of the BUPA group.
We will maintain the coverage and without new exclusions.
What if I already have some exclusions in my coverage?
In this case, the exclusions will transfer from your BUPA policy to your Sanitas policy.
What happens if i am pregnant when i request the transfer?
You will have nothing to worry about as long as your BUPA policy covers this service.
Is it needed to undergo a medical before the transfer can be arranged from BUPA?
No, as you come from BUPA, we will only ask you to fill out a statement about the pre-existing conditions, attaching the medical history.
Where will i receive the new documents?
In order to register a policy with Sanitas, you must have an address in Spain. Documents are always sent by email.
How long will I have to wait to be able to use my health insurance and request medical attention?
The transfer lasts between 10 and 15 days from the date of receipt, provided that the application is well filled out and is satisfactory.
What happens if I am already in the middle of a BUPA treatment when the transfer begins?
You have nothing to worry about, you can continue with your treatment.
my BUPA membership has recently expired, does this prevent me from transferring it to Sanitas?
If your policy has expired, you cannot make a transfer. The only way would be if your premiums are paid on time and / or there was a break in your coverage.
Can I include additional members when I request a policy transfer?
In order for those members to be included in the transfer they must have an existing BUPA policy. If members do not have that BUPA policy, then they can be included in the same plan, but unfortunately they will not have the roll-over benefits applicable to the main coverage.
Required documents to arrange the transfer?
This is completed by BUPA with all the information concerning your existing BUPA Policy. You then forward the form to us and we take care of the rest.
We will require you to request an International Transfer Form (ITF) from BUPA. Afterwards we will require you to request an International Transfer Form (ITF) from BUPA.
Is the transfer of policy between BUPA and Sanitas in both directions? If I decide to return to the UK, can I reapply for the change?
You will have no problem making the change. Simply contact your BUPA UK or BUPA Global agent to complete the procedures. But keep in mind that you must be current on your payments and not have suffered any gap in your coverage.
